The 24th Annual Luncheon & Fashion Show – An Opportunity to Save Lives
Dear Community Supporters:
The Richard David Kann (RDK) Melanoma Foundation, founded 27 years ago, is named in memory of Richard David Kann who died from a late detected melanoma.
As we have both seen the devastating effects melanoma can have on families, it propelled us to work with the Foundation to save lives by changing behaviors through education to increase awareness on sun safety prevention and early detection of melanoma.
RDK and Baseball Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt are working together to build sun smart cities – including stadiums, beaches, parks and recreation centers – to support the distribution of sunscreen dispensers. Formal education programs are in place in grades K-12 through the Sun Smart America curriculum and Students Against Melanoma (SAM) Clubs.
We are asking for your support for our upcoming event, the 21th Annual Luncheon and Runway Fashion Show featuring J. Mendel, by donating an item, basket or gift certificate to be used for the auction. This year’s event will be held on January 24, 2022 at The Breakers, Palm Beach.
Each year, over 400 guests, including top corporate and community leaders, gather to help ensure a better and more sun safe environment to decrease the incidence of skin cancer, especially melanoma, its deadliest form.
We thank you in advance for your consideration of our request. Enclosed please find the form to return with details about your tax deductible donation.
